The treatment of autologous fat transplantation, also known as lipofilling, is carried out in several precise steps to achieve a natural and long-lasting result. Autologous fat grafting is particularly suitable for areas such as the face, breasts, hands or buttocks where harmonious volume and natural contours are desired.

At the beginning of the treatment, fat tissue is gently removed from a suitable area of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs or hips. This procedure is similar to minor liposuction, but is carried out particularly gently in order to preserve the fat cells in the best possible way. The removal usually takes around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the amount of fat required and the extent of the planned transplant.

The harvested fat is then processed and purified so that only healthy and mature fat cells are used. This is an important step to ensure that the transplanted fat cells grow optimally and achieve long-lasting results. Preparation takes around 15 to 30 minutes. The prepared fat is then transplanted into the desired treatment area. The fat cells are injected with fine cannulas and distributed evenly to achieve an aesthetic, natural result. Depending on the extent of the treatment, this step takes 30 to 90 minutes.

In total, the treatment takes around 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the amount of work involved. Autologous fat grafting can be performed on an outpatient basis, with light sedation or local anesthesia ensuring a pleasant, pain-free treatment.

A recovery period of around one to two weeks can be expected after the treatment. Slight swelling and bruising at the extraction and treatment sites are normal in the first few days. However, many patients feel fit again after just a few days and can resume their daily routine, but should refrain from intensive physical activity for around two weeks. Most people are able to resume social activities after five to seven days. Slight swelling may last a little longer, but usually disappears completely after two to three weeks.

Thanks to the fine cannulas used to harvest and transplant the fat, autologous fat grafting leaves hardly any visible scars. The small incisions usually heal quickly and leave only minimal, usually inconspicuous marks that are barely noticeable after a few months.

The final result is visible around two to three months after the treatment, as the fat heals completely and remains stable during this time. Autologous fat grafting therefore enables particularly natural, long-lasting results - for gentle and lasting shaping without foreign materials.
