Before placing the implant, our surgeon marks the approach and places landmarks on your body using a drawing.
Next, the anesthesiologist prepares you for anesthesia before placing you comfortably on the operating table and the anesthesiologist puts you into a gentle sleep.
The skin of the surgical area is disinfected, covered with sterile drapes, and the surgeon makes the first incision at the predetermined site.
A "space" is then created in front of or behind the pectoral muscle into which the implant is placed. The wound is sutured in several layers and this procedure is repeated on the other breast. In total, the surgical procedure takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
After the surgery is completed, you will be gently awakened from the anesthesia and during this time you will be fitted with a support bandage or special support bra. Once you are responsive, you will be taken to your room by clinic staff and medically monitored to ensure you are safe and comfortable in your bed.
You can usually leave the clinic after a stay of about 4 hours.
